A Monument to So Called Armenian Genocide to be Erected in Geneva

The municipality of Geneva approved the project to erect a monument dedicated to the victims of so called Armenian Genocide in one of the central parks of the city, Panorama.am reported.

Turkish “Sabah” daily writes that the local Armenian community supported by the Greens Party and socialists, has submitted the project draft.

Armenian organizations of Switzerland have expressed readiness to provide 400 thousand Swiss francs to bring the project into life.

The Chairman of Western-Swiss Turkish federation declared that the monument would tense relations between Switzerland and Turkey.
