International organizations condemned the murder of nine-year-old Fariz Badalov by Armenian sniper on the contact line of Armenian-Azerbaijani troops.

The International Committee of the Red Cross will prepare a report on the incident to be presented to the Armenian side. UNICEF assessed the murder of a child on the contact line as a violation of the UN Convention on Children's Rights.

According to chief of department for the ICRC Azerbaijani office Ilaha Huseynova, militaries and civilians must be differentiated. "As for this issue, the ICRC representatives visited this village, saw the spot, met members of the boy's family, witnesses of the incident, on basis of which they will make a report and present it to the responsible party", Huseynova added.

Head of the UNICEF office in Azerbaijan Mark Hereword also condemned the boy's murder. He said regardless of whether military actions are held or absent, the rights of every child must be protected. "For us there is no different, anyway, the situation, cases of violence over children, are viewed as a violation of due regulations of the UN Convention of Human Rights", Hereword said.
