Azerbaijani Official Calls Sargsyan Immoral

President Sargsyan’s statement in which he denies the murder of Azerbaijani child by Armenian armed forces is considered immoral in Azerbaijan.

'One should be so immoral to deny the murder of a nine-year-old child by an Armenian sniper', chief of department for public policy of the presidential administration of Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov told reporters, according to Trend.

He said Sargsyan’s statement that 'The Armenian army would never take a step against a child' is shameful.

'You know, hundreds of innocent children and elderly people were killed during the genocide in Khojaly. For this reason, his attempts to twist this shameful crime and anti-humane steps of the Armenian army can persuade no one except for him', Ali Hasanov said.

He said international organizations did not keep silent over this incident.

'You know the Minsk Group co-chairs have voiced their attitude to this and empowered their officials to start a special investigation over this issue. We believe that presenting this fact to the attention of international organizations and there awareness on this issue means the definite assessment of the Armenian army.

Certainly, the fact-finding mission and institute of OSCE co-chairs, other international organizations will not be able to punish any officer of the Armenian army for this crime. However, this proves the humanity of the Armenian army and the soldiers of this occupational army. And we bring this to the attention of international organizations',  Ali Hasanov said.
