E-mail Print PDF

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has promised to do his utmost to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict with Azerbaijan over Karabakh.

He made the remarks during a visit to the family of Hovhannes Sukiasyan, a soldier killed in January along the contact line separating Armenian and Azerbaijani troops, the presidential press service reported.

“As president of Armenia I promise to do my utmost for the conflict to be resolved peacefully,” Serzh Sargsyan said,  adding that this would be the best tribute to the dead soldiers.

“They managed to protect the Motherland at the expense of their lives, while we should manage to make peace,” he said.

President Sargsyan visited the soldier's grave in Shirak Region.
