Serzh Sargsyan: I’ll be the first passenger of the Yerevan-Khankendi flight.
“I’ll be the first passenger of the Yerevan-Stepanakert(Khankendi),” Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan declared at a joint press conference with the Federal President of Switzerland, Micheline Calmy-Rey.
Commenting on Azerbaijan’s statement that it will shoot the planes flying from Khankendi, Serzh Sargsyan said: “Such statements have always been made by terrorist organizations, it’s absurd for a state to make a statement like that.”
Micheline Calmy-Rey, in turn, touched upon the resumption of the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation process. She underlined that Switzerland completed its mediating mission in October 2009, when the two protocols were signed. “It does not mean, however, that it has washed its hands and is now indifferent to the improvement of relations between Armenia and Turkey,” she stated.
