Azerbaijani MFA Appeals To Turkey Over Visit To Occupied Lands

Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry sent an appeal to the Turkish side.

Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry sent an appeal to the Turkish side in connection with the visit of a group of persons of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to the occupied Azerbaijani territories, the head of the Foreign Ministry press service Elkhan Polukhov said.

He noted that the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry expects the reply of the Turkish side on the information about the visit, spread in the Armenian press.

Note that according to Regnum news agency, a group of persons from the TRNC under the auspices of the British organization 'International Alert' visited Khankendi in the framework of the project 'European Partnership supports peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict'. They participated at a round table held on April 1-3 under theme 'The experience of peacekeeping and peaceful coexistence after armed conflict - an example of Cyprus.'

Among those people who visited to Kahnkendi were the Secretary General of the Republican Party of Northern Cyprus, President of the Association of Businessmen of Northern Cyprus Kutlay Erk, the former head of the municipality Lefkosa, a lawyer, chairman of the Foundation of Human Rights and member of the Supreme Court Amina Cholak.
