E-mail Print PDF

US Congressman Jim Moran (Democrat, State of Virginia) sent a letter to the Azerbaijani Diaspora members about the US Azerbaijani Network’s March 31 Azerbaijani Genocide campaign, APA’s Washington correspondent reports.

In his letter Congressman Moran called the March 1918 events as “tragic events”.

“I am aware of the legacy of violence and dispossession that affected the peoples of this region during the tumult of that era”, he mentioned adding, “Sadly, tensions continue”.

“Ultimately, reconciliation is in the interest of all, and I will continue to support efforts to resolve conflicts and promote economic and social development in the Caucasus”, Congressman Moran pledged.

He also promised to keep Azeri Diaspora’s views in mind should the issue emerge in the current Congress.
