Armenia seeks raising tensions with Azerbaijan while planning air flights in Khankendi, Deputy Ganira Pashayeva told a session in the parliament.

Meanwhile, Azay Guliyev believes the attempt to launch flights in Khankendi is illegal and Azerbaijan ought to prevent it.

He said Azerbaijan’s reaction was adequate unlike the reaction of US ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza which was inadequate.

“Bryza said Armenia permits Azerbaijani airplanes to Nakhchivan which is why Azerbaijan must also allow flights to Karabakh. It is a great mistake, since Nakhchivan is an legal territory of Azerbaijan, while Karabakh was occupied by Armenia”, he said.

Meanwhile, deputy Fazail Agamaly accused the US ambassador of the pro-Armenian stance.

“Matthew Bryza seems not yet to have stepped aside from  his pro-Armenian stance he took as the co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group”, he said.
