The OSCE Minsk Group Field Assessment Mission's report on the occupied Azerbaijani territories will be disseminated in the Council of Europe.
"The OSCE Minsk Group Field Assessment Mission's report on the occupied territories will be disseminated in the CE," Azerbaijan’s Permanent Representative to the CE Arif Mammadov told.
As a rule, information about the activity of international missions is sent to CE committees for review through diplomatic channels. The information is likely to be disseminated in the CE, the diplomat said.
On Nov. 7-12, 2010, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen conducted a field assessment mission in the seven occupied territories adjacent to Nagorno Karabakh to assess the overall situation.
The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan since 1992, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.
Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Russia, France, and the U.S. - are currently holding peace negotiations.
Armenia has not yet implemented the U.N. Security Council's four resolutions on the liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions.
