E-mail Print PDF

US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasian Affairs Philip Gordon referred to Armenian-Turkish rapprochement issue in a news conference in Washington. According to Turkish “Hurriyet” Gordon has said Armenian-Turkish rapprochement issue often appears on agenda during their meetings with the Turkish colleagues.

US official expressed support to the efforts of mending those relations and particularly said: “Those efforts seem to have become slow. In this respect we expressed our concerns, since we think that the continuation of the process, reestablishment of the relations and friendly ties would do only favor to the both states. We continue to support the direct dialogue and normalization of the relations between the two states.”
