Turkish Ambassador: Obama Will Not Utter "Armenian Genocide" In His Annual Speech To Congress

E-mail Print PDF

Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic believes U.S. President Barack Obama will not utter the words "Armenian genocide" in his annual speech to the Congress over the anniversary of the fictional "Armenian genocide ". "Obama is a rather rational person, and I do not think that he will value such a lie," Kilic told journalists on Friday.

The U.S. President speaks to the Congress in connection with the fictional "Armenian genocide" on April 24 every year.

Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that the predecessor of Turkey - the Ottoman Empire -- had committed the 1915 genocide against the Armenians living in Anadolu. The Armenians, imposing the recognition of this event in the world, achieved recognition of the "Armenian genocide" by some countries’ parliaments, by strengthening the propaganda of the so-called "genocide" abroad.
