Azerbaijan's Karabakh Community Seeks To Return To Their Lands

E-mail Print PDF

Our sole aim is to return to our lands.

We expect exactly this from the talks held on the conflict resolution. This statement came from Bayram Safarov, head of the Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan in an interview with the ruling New Azerbaijan Party website.

Safarov said the Nagorno-Karabakh region can be granted status only after Azerbaijanis return there and that the stance Azerbaijan takes in this issue is very fair.

The head of the Azerbaijani community said necessary measures are needed to ensure that Azerbaijanis and Armenians co-exist together in security adding that both communities are able to lead normal lives as before.

'Ordinary Armenians want to live in Nagorno-Karabakh under the Azerbaijani laws. They have looked forward to this for long. It is the separatist regime that impedes this. Of course, the separatist regime should be eliminated in order to live in peace.

We trust the policy of Azerbaijani President to o solve the conflict and hope that the meetings and negotiations will yield fruit. Armenia needs to understand that they have no other chance but to free Azerbaijan’s lands,' Safarov added.
