Combating Claims Related To So-Called "Armenian Genocide" Discussed in Turkey

The issue of combating claims related to the so-called "Armenian genocide" was discussed in Turkey.

Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva met Geksel Gulbay, Chief of the Board of the Igdyr Community in charge of combating the unsubstantiated claims of Armenians (ASIM-DER). At this meeting, there were discussed tasks of the public union over unmasking of the so-called "Armenian genocide" and there was conducted an exchange of views on works done by ASIM-DER.

The MP told about the so-called "Armenian genocide" and the true genocide acts committed by the Armenians in northwest Turkey in the beginning of the 20th century, in Baku, Shamakha and Guba in March 1918, and on the genocide acts committed at the end of the 20th century, February 26, 1992 in Khojaly, and shared her thoughts of how to notify the international community of these realities.

The MP, having said that she is the author of a number of books and documentary films, stressed that these realities are insufficiently proposed to the attention of either communities of foreign countries or international organizations. Sometimes, even citizens of the fraternal country are not informed of these bloody events.

ASIM-DER Board Chief Geksel Gulbay, giving a folder containing the information of the done work over to the MP, also informed of new projects of the organization.
