An armed confrontation cannot pave way for settling the conflict in Nagorno Karabakh, an EU official has said.
Speaking at a news conference in Yerevan after a meeting with Armenia's foreign minister, EU Commissioner for Enlargments and Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Fule addressed prospects the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement.He said neighborhood cannot be safe unless protracted conflicts find a peaceful solution under the principles of international law (territorial integrity, peoples' right to self determination and non-use of force).
The EU official said the meetings between parties demonstrate a progress and stressed the importance of "reflecting them in rhetoric."
