It is an task for Armenia not to lose on the spiritual and cultural front in the information warfare with Azerbaijan, Armenian Defense Minister said.
Seyran Ohanyan was speaking on Wednesday at the Republican scientific conference “History and culture: against falsifications and infringement”.
“I think few would reject that this event (the conference) is a demand of time, of today and it is especially important in the view that our duty and our supertask is not to lose on the moral and cultural front of this stage in information warfare”, he said.
On welcoming the conference participants, the minister emphasized the need to take respective measures for proper counterstrike.
“I think in process of this conference we will work out the due policy, methodology and strategy of fighting these events. Such events will trigger development of cooperation between the Defense Ministry, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture and other respective structures”, he said.
Ohanyan also stressed importance of the Public Council at the Defense Ministry, saying it is a continuation of the main work carried by the Armenian command to strengthen ties between army and public and on the issues of public information.
The Republican scientific conference “History and culture: against falsifications and infringement” is organized on the initiative of the Public Council of the Defense Ministry. It will finish on 6 May.
