US Ambassador To Leave Armenia

US Ambassador to Armenia to take up post at State Department-Embassy.

Marie L. Yovanovitch will complete her 3-year mission as US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia in June 2011.

She will return to Washington and take up the post of Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Northern and Central Europe, Spokeswoman for US Embassy in Yerevan Taguhi Jahukyan informed.

As reported earlier, Armenian mass media spread information that Yovanovitch will soon assume a new post at US State Department. According to some reports, Yovanovitch will leave Armenia in early June.
