Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the UN sent a letter addressed to organization’s Secretary General.

Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Karen Nazaryan sent a letter addressed to organization’s Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in response to letter issued by the Azerbaijani side.

The letter mentions Azerbaijan’s attempts to spread misinformation and using child’s life as a tool of propaganda, Armenian Foreign Ministry’s press service informed.

Instead Azerbaijan must abandon provocations in the line of contact which threatens to regional peace and stability.

Such actions violate provisions of ceasefire agreement signed between Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia in 1994, the letter says.

It also mentions that Azerbaijan must respect calls of UN Secretary General and OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to remove snipers from the line of contact.
