“Turkey, Armenia and US To Launch Clinton's Program”

Armenia, Turkey and the United States are going to launch tourism development program proposed by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

According to the Turkish Hurriyet newspaper, the program will be implemented by joint efforts of the Yerevan State University, the University of Florida and the Dokuz Eylul University of Turkey.

 

Citing Dr Ceyhan Aldemir, a professor at the Turkish university's Business Administration Department, the Turkish publication says that the program is aimed at elaborating joint mechanisms in the tourism sector and promote a thaw in Turkey's relations with Armenia.

"The first meeting between the universities' delegations was held in the United States. The second meeting took place in our country, and the third meeting is scheduled to take place in Armenia," the Turkish scholar said. "The program, aimed at developing tourism between Armenia and Turkey, will last three years. We are hopeful to involve students as well."

According to the Turkish media, the project is sponsored by the United States.
