E-mail Print PDF

A top Turkish military official has said that several Turks were punished for misconduct while sending the Armenians, living in the Ottoman Turkey, to exile. Isik Kosaner, the Chief of General Staff of Turkey’s Armed Forces, also said that nowadays some people are trying to create an alternative history in Turkey.

“By distorting the realities and historical facts an attempt is being made to create an alternative history to convey a completely other meaning to the struggle carried by Ataturk and his supporters,” said Kosaner.

However, he did not elaborate whom his words are addressed to.
