Barack Obama: U.S. highly appreciates its partnership with Azerbaijan

U.S. President Barack Obama sent a letter of congratulation to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the national holiday of Azerbaijan – the Day of Republic, APA reports.

The letter reads: “Dear Mr. President, on behalf of the people of the United States, I congratulate You and the people of Azerbaijan on the Day of Republic and 20th anniversary of the independence of your country. The United States highly appreciates its partnership with Azerbaijan. Our country is committed to the development of larger opportunities for working together with the government and people of Azerbaijan for strengthening the regional energy security, securing the development of Azerbaijan as the democratic and prosperous country and strengthening the regional peace, particularly seeking the peaceful solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

The American people join me in my best wishes to You and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of your national holiday and this historic anniversary”.
