The demolition of the bust of general Andranik Ozanyan in the Lazarev district of Sochi demonstrated that the Armenian-Russian relations need serious 'reconstruction'.
The statement came from the Heritage faction leader Stepan Safaryan while commenting on this situation and the statement from the Sochi mayor Anatoliy Pakhomov that he will never permit the establishment of this monument.
"I wouldn't like to attribute the position of the Sochi mayor to the whole Russia and the political elite of this country but evidently the relations between Armenia and Russia must be so clear that different officials could not take these steps that could deal a blow to the bilateral relations", Safaryan said.
