Yerevan May Withdraw Signatures From Turkish-Armenian Protocols

E-mail Print PDF

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan does not rule out possible withdrawal of Yerevan’s signatures from Armenian-Turkish protocols, Graparak newspaper reads citing its own sources.

According to the newspaper, at a private sitting on activities over the 100th anniversary of so called ‘Armenian genocide’ presided over by Serzh Sargsyan, head of the Heritage party Raffi Hovannissian asked the president  whether Yerevan plans to withdraw signatures from the Armenian-Turkish protocols. To this, Sargsyan urged not to start disputes over the issue, however, Hovannisian replied that this issue is important for the discussion participants. “I do not rule out anything”, Sargsyan said.

Raffi Hovanissian confirmed this information to Graparak. “This information is true. I think it is not a bad start that the possible withdrawal of signatures is not ruled out. I hope this answer will become fuller, unless it is not too late”, Hovannisian said.
