Iranian President Postpones His Visit To Armenia

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has postponed his visit to Armenia that earlier was expected to start today.

Bilateral agreements in economic sphere will be signed on Monday as part of a one-day official visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Armenia, the press service for the Iranian embassy reported earlier.

"During the visit  the Iranian president will meet Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan and other officials", the press service reported.

According to the sources, the delegation headed by the Iranian president involves high-ranking officials from political and economic spheres.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Monday visit to Armenia was postponed and it will take place at a later time, deputy head of the Presidential Office for communications and information dissemination said here Monday, IRNA reported.

Mohammad-Hassan Salehi-Maram said the President's visit to Yerevan was put off because the host country had not prepared the documents which were to be exchanged during this visit.

Whenever the documents are prepared, the Iranian President will travel to that country, Salehi-Maram added.
