The US policy in Turkey and its region, including the South Caucasus in a New Era, as well as the Turkish zero problem policy with its neighborhood are on the agenda of the Middle East Institute organized 2011 Annual Conference on Turkey "Change Within and Beyond Borders: Turkey`s Domestic and Foreign Policy Agenda" that will start on June 23, in Washington DC, APA reported.
Prominent US and Turkish experts, also top-officials, including the US Assistant Secretary of Defense Alexander Vershbow, Chief Advisor to the Turkish Prime Minister Dr. Ibrahim Kalin, AKP deputy Omer Celik and others will attend the conference and deliver speeches.
Among the main speakers will be Faruk Logoglu, former Turkish Ambassador to the US, Alon Liel, former Director-General of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Haluk Ozdalga and Suat Kinıklioglu, AKP Deputies, as well as others, who have already been invited.
The conference will as well discuss US and Turkish common interests in the South Caucasus, Middle East, Iran, and certain part of it will be dedicated to Turkish-European relations. Media, embassies’ representatives and various experts on the issue will attend the conference.
