A group of eight Canadian-Armenians have begun a 72 hour hunger strike in downtown Toronto on Friday organized by the Armenian Youth Federation of Canada, Asbarez newspaper reports.
Demonstraters protest Turkey over denial of Armenian thesis on 1915 incidents in Turkey. The hunger strike will culminate with an official demonstration, which will be held Monday in front of the Turkish consulate in Toronto.
The hungerstrike demonstration is considered as another method of Armenian diaspora in Canada to bring attention of the public on Armenian genocide allegations.
Accusing Turks of committing a genocide against ethnic Armenians, radical Armenian groups chose even the terror as a tool for promoting their thesis. ASALA, an Armenian terrorist organization, assassinated several Turkish diplomats all over the world, to bring genocide allegations on the world agenda.
