“Turkey Favors Armenia's Isolation Due To Karabakh İssue”

E-mail Print PDF

There is a need for a long-term strategic plan on Karabakh issue.

Today public opinion, media, non-governmental organizations, even ordinary citizens in Turkey want Armenia to be isolated due to the Karabakh issue.

The remarks came from Hasan Ali Karasar, teacher at Bilkent University, well-known analyst on Turkic world.

“The unified position on Karabakh issue will become even stronger. It will take time. This process is proceeding rapidly. The public opinion in Turkey and in the whole Turkic world support this. There is a need for a long-term strategic plan on Karabakh issue. Joint statements on truth about Karabakh should be adopted in all events in the Turkic world.

“The common stance of NGOs and media on this matter should be felt. This process should also be inherent in Turkic states in Central Asia. It is true that intellectuals with nationalistic thinking in Turkey have an equivocal stance on Karabakh issue,” the analyst noted.
