Azerbaijani, Armenian And Russian Presidents to Meet Today in Kazan

The next ninth meeting of Azerbaijani, Russian and Armenian presidents on settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict will be held today in Kazan, Russia.

APA reports that the meeting will be held within the framework of the traditional Russian President Cup horse race. A document concerning the basic principles of the conflict settlement is expected to be signed at the meeting. If this document is signed, it will play the role of roadmap in the settlement of the conflict and will enable to start the work on peace treaty.

Recently Kremlin press service issued a statement, which said that the co-chair countries make efforts to convince the sides to finalize the work on this document in Kazan meeting. The statement issued Thursday by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that Kazan meeting can be the beginning of decisive level in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

On Thursday, US President Barack Obama phoned to Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents. According to the White House, President Obama called on his counterparts to sign the document on coordination of the basic principles at Kazan meeting.
