Issue of Armenia’s participation in Baku-hosted Eurovision-2012 will be settled in coming days.

The issue of Armenia’s participation in Baku-hosted Eurovision-2012 will be settled in coming days, reports Aykakan zhamanak newspaper citing the head of the Armenian delegation in Eurovision Goar Gasparyan.

Azerbaijani duet Nikki (Nigar Jamal) and Ell (Eldar Gasimov) won Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf. Under the rules of Eurovision, the next contest will be held in the winner country.

“The preliminary information on this issue will come out soon. The decision has not been taken yet”, Gasparyan said.

Armenia has not been represented in the final for the first time in six years of its participation. Its representative Emmi performed her Boom Boom (music by Apricota group, lyrics by Sosi Khanikyan, arranged by Ara Torosyan) number four in the semifinal but failed to get to the final.
