E-mail Print PDF

Ukraine is planning to become a mediator in the Karabakh conflict settlement talks, the Russian publication Versii reported.

"After Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan's visit to Ukraine, it emerged that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has been instructed to become more involved in the South Caucasus," the publication says. "Informed sources say a delegation of Ukrainian diplomats are set to visit Yerevan, Stepanakert (Khankendi) and Baku to find out how Ukraine could possibly contribute to the peace mission."

It goes on saying that Russia's diplomacy failed to prove a balanced diplomacy and that Yerevan and Baku are interested in changing the brokers.
