E-mail Print PDF

The World Azerbaijani Congress under way in Baku is to identify a strategy to raise international awareness of the Karabakh conflict.

Addressing the congress, the head of the political analysis and information department at the Presidential Administration, Elnur Aslanov, said the meeting would help to improve the work of Azerbaijani diaspora organizations and work on a strategy to raise awareness of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Karabakh.

“Discussions serving Azerbaijan’s national interests and determining coordination will be held at the congress,” Aslanov said.

He said that President Ilham Aliyev would set out a strategy for the future cooperation of the diaspora in his speech to the congress.

“The thesis reflected in Mr President’s speech will be appreciated by Azerbaijanis living abroad as a future strategy of action. The Azerbaijani diaspora has completed the organizational phase over the past 10 years.”

Delegates representing 50 million Azerbaijanis are taking part in the congress, Elnur Aslanov noted.
