E-mail Print PDF

The well with bones in the Guba mass burial cemetery, which is the only witness of genocide committed against Azerbaijanis by Armenia, split, scientific worker of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Gahraman Agayev, who heads of research carried out in Guba mass burial cemetery, told.

According to him, the hot weather created dryness in the land in the cemetery, and it caused the split: “The worst case is that the split was recorded also at the top of the only well with bones. And it means that we can lose this well”.

According to Agayev, the cemetery has been protected with the primitive methods for 4 years: “when it is raining, the dry soil is used for the protection of cemetery from the moisture. But now soil must be drilled with armature and wet soil must be persuaded there. But these primitive methods can not continue for a long time”.
