Baku Ready To Cooperate With Foreign Media in Karabakh Conflict Coverage

Azerbaijan ready to cooperate with foreign media in coverage of Karabakh conflict, said spokesperson for the Azerbaijani FM Elkhan Polukhov.

Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate with foreign media which have an unbiased coverage of ongoing of processes in our region, particularly in the issue of Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The remarks came from spokesperson for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Elkhan Polukhov while commenting on latest frequent visits by foreign journalists to occupied lands of Azerbaijan.

'We hope that foreign media will highlight views of at least both sides of the conflict while covering this conflict which is sensitive in all aspects,' the spokesperson said. 

Recently, Washington Post correspondent, who has tripped to Nagorno-Karabakh, voiced his desire to visit Azerbaijan, too.

On 5 July, editor-in-chief of Russian Izvestiya newspaper Alexander Malyutin addressed a letter to Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov asking for permission for correspondent Yuri Snegirev’s entry to Azerbaijan to present a full and objective picture of the situation over Nagorno-Karabakh.
