Clinton To Discuss Karabakh And Turkey-Armenia Relations During Her Visit To Turkey

One of the issues which will be discussed during US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s visit to Turkey is the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

APA reported quoting the website of the US Department of State that at the first stage of the visit Clinton will exchange view on Libya problem with Turkish officials, at the second stage – bilateral and regional topics.

She will meet with President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davudoglu in Ankara. According to the Department of State, Clinton intends to discuss the important issues which worry Ankara and Washington: “The formation of Iraqi government, situation in the Caucasus, Armenia, Cyprus and the Balkans are in the agenda of the negotiations”.

The regional energy projects will be discussed with the Turkish leadership. Secretary of State’s Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy Richard Morningstar will be among those who will accompany Clinton in Ankara.
