In order to understand the essence of the statements of Armenian leaders it is necessary to have idea of their history and be aware of their nature.
The statement came from chief of the foreign relations department at the presidential administration of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov while commenting on the statement of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in which he compares Armenian and Azerbaijani opposition.
'Armenian nature is that throughout history they have been holding cunning and two-faced policy. Lie is all that they have. All their actions are based on their effective weapon-two-facedness and cunning. Though it may sound odd, but by acting so they have managed to gain definite success and thus they are trying their best to justify trust to themselves', he said.
'For example, Serzh Sargsyan, when he compares Azerbaijani and Armenian opposition, speaks of the presence of free opposition in Armenia. Let them think over how the killing of dozens of people, arrests of hundreds of oppositionists, shutdown of all free mass media, emergency state applied in the country after elections in 2008 influenced the creation of free opposition in Azerbaijan', Mammadov said.
According to chief of the presidential department, in that period opposition also held actions in Azerbaijan.
'But in Armenia, unlike Azerbaijan, 11 people died by official data and some 20 people by unofficial data. This fact is known to the world', he said.
According to Mammadov, taking into account the fact that Armenia is unable to find anything else against Azerbaijan, they are making senseless statements and compare with Azerbaijan.
'Armenian president also touched upon the migration issue in his statement. He accused Azerbaijan of exaggerating the migration problems in Armenia. But it is Armenians nature to migrate across the world. Some 80% of Armenians live not in South Caucasus but in other countries from Argentine to Syria, from US to France. Finding shelter in other countries, they chant ‘Armenia’, but enjoy their living. The Armenian president also voiced his concern in this view. But whatever he says and does, he will be unable to prevent the process of historical migration. Whatever Armenians say about homeland, they prefer to live under the shelter of other nations', he said.
