E-mail Print PDF

Turkish President Abdullah Gul has commented on the demand of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to ratify the Zurich protocols.

Gul said he supports peaceful settlement of this issue through talks.

'During the meeting of the presidents of Azerbaiajn and Armenia, organized by Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev in Kazan, long discussions were held. We know that a number of issues found solution at this meeting.

Peace must be established in the Caucasus at the end. The countries of the same region-Turkey, Azerbaijan and Armenia-must have friendly relations. It is quite evident that to create such relations, the occupied lands must be liberated and refugees must return to their native lands. These are very important issues', the Turkish president said.
