E-mail Print PDF

Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva has made remarks about the Karabakh conflict for Turkish journalists who are on visit to Azerbaijan.

Reporters from Milliyet, Hurriyet, Zaman, Today’s Zaman, Radikal and Haberturk tripped to Azerbaijan at Pashayeva's invitation.

The parliamentarian told Turkish journalists about the history of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the negotiating process on peaceful settlement of the issue mediated by the OSCE Minsk Group.

Armenian leadership has demonstrated non-constructive position which hiders the conflict resolution over the years, the MP added.

The MP made remarks at a briefing held in Agdam village of Tovuz District bordering with Armenia.

Despite the four resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council, as well as resolutions and decisions of other international organizations, official Yerevan continues to ignore rules and principles of international law, keeping 20 percent of Azerbaijani territory under occupation uprooting about one million Azerbaijani refugees and displaced persons from their homes, the MP stated.
