The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be finally resolved and peace will be established in the region.

Azerbaijan has voiced its stance on demand made by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about normalization of the Turkey-Armenia diplomatic ties and opening of borders at a recent visit to Turkey.

Head of the public and political affairs department at the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov said opening of borders would mean resumption of ties in all spheres.

'Why only Armenia-Turkey should open? Why not to open Armenia-Azerbaijan border? There is one reason and obstacle for opening of the borders. It is Armenia’s moving towards constructive position to leave occupied Azerbaijani lands and thus solve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Therefore, we don’t believe that US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is aware of these matters and understands them. We see this as a pressure not only on Turkey, but also Armenia,' he added, reported ANS PRESS.

'In the end, it will lead to opening of both Turkey-Armenia border and other communications in South Caucasus. The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be finally resolved and peace will be established in the region,' the official said.
