E-mail Print PDF

80 percent of the products consumed in Armenia are made in Turkey, owner of Kars-based Serhat TV channel Alijan Alibeyoglu said, Kafkas news agency (KHA) reports.

“The so-called embargo applied in Armenia was eliminated long ago. The opening of the borders will offer great economic opportunities to Kars and the region,” he said.

Alibeyoglu said Turkish and Armenian planes operate mutual flights three times a week. There are more than 70 000 Armenian migrant workers in Turkey, this shows that embargo is in the words.

“This symbolic embargo only punishes Kars,” he said.
