Medvedev’s Proposals For Karabakh Settlement in Azerbaijan’s Interest-Expert

E-mail Print PDF

Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev’s proposals for Karabakh conflict resolution are closer to Azerbaijan’s positions than those of Armenian side.

In any event, it can be judged from the information by diplomatic sources, political analyst Richard Giragosian told a press conference in Yerevan.

He stressed Baku expected the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs’ benevolence taking into consideration their keen interest in Karabakh conflict settlement.

“Azeri President Ilham Aliyev traveled to Kazan with this hope, but his expectations were not fulfilled. However, according to some diplomatic sources, the recent proposals of the Russian President proceed more from Azerbaijan’s interests rather than those of the Armenian side,” Giragosian emphasized.
