'Iran Does Not Aim To Get Karabakh Conflict Resolved'

E-mail Print PDF

Iran does not aim to get Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolved and its statements are nor sincere.

The remarks came from Turkish expert Arif Keskin while commenting on statements the Iranian officials make recently that the Karabakh issue must be solved with the help of regional states.

“Iran wants to trigger a discord between Azerbaijan and West. Iran seeks to undermine Azerbaijan’s relations with Europe and United States, the OSCE Minsk Group to stop work and gain control over the Karabakh talks,” the Turkish expert said.

“Therefore, we see Iranian politicians to make various statements about the Karabakh issue frequently. Iran knows that if Azerbaijan spoils relations with Europe and America in Karabakh issue, the West will rather support Armenia in this respect. But Azerbaijan will never do this. Iran’s intensions are obvious and Iran seeks to get Nagorno-Karabakh resolved in favor of Armenia,” Keskin noted.
