'Killing Azerbaijani Children Raises Hatred To Armenians'

Journalists representing Milliyet, Hurriyet, Zaman, Todays Zaman, Haberturk, Radical newspapers have visited the parts of Tovuz bordering on Armenia.

Upon their return to Turkey, the journalists shared their impressions in the newspapers they represented.

In his notes about the visit published in Milliyet newspaper, Murat Pazarbashi spoke of the killing of children living in the borderline area. He spoke about the killing of 13-year-old Aygun Shahmaliyeva who died as a result of a toy blast and nine-year-old Fariz Badalov, saying this act turned concerns of Azerbaijanis into hatred. He said that the village where Aygun was killed has been under snipers’ control and noted that during years the highest number of Azerbaijani Turks were killed in Tovuz.

Alibeyli villages where the 13-year-old girl was killed is just one of the villages that are still kept under snipers control. MP Ganira Pashayeva said that Armenians fire indiscriminately on both children or elderly people.

The journalist said he walked in the frontline villages with Pashayeva and added that the local residents have not seen their relatives’ graves for many years. The Turkish journalist wrote that despite this, they are not going to give up their lands.

The author said Pashayeva stressed Azerbaijan’s interest in Karabakh problem but in the case it fails, Azerbaijan is ready to war.
