According Azerbaijani media Armenia will take part in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku.
Tert.am contacted Gohar Gasparyan, the head of the Eurovision delegation in Armenia, who however, denied the information.
"There's nothing of the kind," she said. "Even the list of the countries, which the Azerbaijani media claim have confirmed their participation, is not real."
Gasparyan said Armenia's participation in the Eurovision qualifying round is now under discussion.
"The negotiations will last several months. Nothing is definitely known at present," she said, without giving further details.
