During the meeting the sides considered in details the current situation in the Caucasus region with a focus on the need to reduce tensions in the areas, adjacent to South Ossetia and Abkhazia, as well as the results of the second round of Geneva discussions on issues of stability and security in the South Caucasus.

They sides also discussed the problems of Nagorno Karabakh and Transdniestria as well as the situation in the Ukraine.
