“Marking the World Refugee Day aims to make the world to address this problem at least once a year, to make the leaders of the world’s leading countries, international organizations, leaders of other countries to commemorate this day and to remember what they have done and what problems they created”, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, chairman of the State Committee on Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov said, APA reports.

“Generally, the problem of refugees and internally displaced persons is the most sensitive issue in the world. This is the world’s problem number one. This is a global problem.”

Hasanov said that if some countries didn’t choose democratic way or didn’t fulfill resolutions of the international organizations, sanctions are imposed against these countries, their leaders and officials and they are accused of non-observance of international law. “Why they don’t impose vetoes, embargoes against Armenia, Kocharyan, Sargsyan, who are invaders and separatists, who committed Khojaly genocide? Why? The number of conflict zones and refugees in the world increase every year because no measures are taken against those who create these problems.”

According to the UN reports, today there are 42 million 500 thousands refugees and IDPs in the world, Hasanov said.
