Armenia’s Gugark Region’s Religious Leader Sebuh Chuljuyan stated that he welcomes the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia. Chuljuyan said, “Armenians may leave the psychological wounds back in the history if they analyse the historyagain.”

Speaking to Yeni Safak newspaper, Armenian religious leader said that Armenian Patriarchate in Istanbul may work as a bridge between Turkey and Armenia.

Commenting on the steps of Turkish government for establishing relationship with Armenia, Chuljuyan said, “I hope we witness these promises coming true. I welcome the process of normalization between two countries, but it is not realistic to expect rapid developments.”

Armenian religious leader said, “Armenians should leave the pain in the past by analysing the historical events once again. I believe in the historical memory of two nations. Turkish and Armenian people do not have common memory of pain, but they do have common memory of history.”

Chuljuyan said that Armenian Patriarchate in Istanbul may work as a bridge between Turkish and Armenian people.
