General President of Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bahceli called on the Justice and Development party government to withdraw the protocols from Turkish Grand National Assembly. Leader of Nationalist Movement Party issued a written statement about the justified decision of Armenian Constitutional Court on Turkey-Armenia protocols. Stressing that the process of analyse of Turkey-Armenia protocols by Armenian Constitutional Court is turned into a necessary part of ratification of protocols in Armenia, Bahceli said, “With this decision, Armenia will not change the certain paragraph in its Declaration of Independence where Eastern Anatolia is mentioned as Western Armenia. With the decision, Armenia will not recognize treaty of Kars and consequently Turkey’s borders and will not give up efforts towards international recognition of the so called 1915 genocide. The decision also stressed that protocols are just towards the relations between Turkey and Armenia, and does not have any connection with solution ofNagorno-Karabakh problem and Azerbaijani lands under Armenian occupation.” Bahceli said that the justified decision of Armenian Constitutional Court showed once more that Armenia will not change its attitude which conflicts with international law and which continues to assume Turkey as a hostile country. Claiming that the situation is a fiasco for Justice and Development Party government and the Foreign Minister who has his signature under the text of protocols, Bahceli called government to withdraw protocols from the Turkish Grand National Assembly and to apologize Turkish people. “Otherwise they will be remembered in the history as a government that abases its pride, confidence, self respect and national interests,” said he. |
