Armenians voiced land claims on Turkish territory after a month passes from the protocols that we signed in the mediation of Switzerland on October 10. Armenia’s ambassador to Switzerland and permanent UN representative Charles Aznavour said, “They promised lands to Armenians in 1924, in the year thati was born. It has not happened yet. I have been waiting all the time, and i cannot wait for another 85 years.” Armenians claim one third of Turkish territory.

I will tell you an event about this issue;

As Turkish people were struggling to defend their lands, Armenians started rebellions in 1914 against Ottoman forces. With the authority that was given by the parliament, Kazim Karabekir took the offensive and neutralized Armenians. Then Turkey and USSR signed Kars agreement.

During this struggle, it was claimed that Erzurum was belonging to Armenians. Thereupon Mayor of Erzurum Hamid Bey arranged a meeting in which ministers and top officials were present. As negotiations were being continued, a judge asked to the Mayor,

— Mr. Mayor, may I ask you a question?

— Sure.

— Sir, do Armenians eat their deads?

— What?… Of cource they also burry their deads.

— Then, if they are also burrying their deads, are there moreArmenian cemeteriesthanTurkish cemeteries? The city belongs to the ones who have more deads here. Most of the cemeteries belongs to Muslim Turkish people. This city belongs to Turkish people.
